The 2012 Spring season auditions will be held on Monday January 9th 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. by scheduled appointment.
To schedule an audition time, call Julie at 843-873-7795 or e-mail us at:  audition@singersofsummerville.org   Please provide your name, voice range, e-mail address, contact telephone number, and preferred time for your audition. Someone will contact you to confirm your audition time or discuss alternative options if your desired time has already been scheduled.
Those auditioning should be prepared to do the following before a selection committee:
-- Inform the committee of your past musical training and experiences by completing an audition card when you arrive for your appointment - please arrive a little early for your audition appointment to fill out this card.

-- Vocalize on neutral vowels unaccompanied for range and aural skills; Sing the melody and your specific part ( soprano, alto , tenor, or bass ) of a musical selection chosen by the Director with accompaniment; Sing a familiar musical selection chosen by the Director a cappella ; Sing a selection by sight-reading the music a cappella ( if you do not read music inform the committee – you may have other abilities to learn music that may enable selection and those can be tested as well).
-- No musical selections preparation is necessary - all music and other requirements will be provided at the audition.
